Summer Saunter through Gasworks Park

  • Gasworks Park 2101 N North Northlake Way Seattle, WA, 98103 United States (map)
a sunny day, green ground, and former gas plant made into a public par,

This summer we’re hosting Summer Saunters through places of transition. They’ll feature historic tidbits, places of beauty, and pauses to reflect on the difficult moments that place has come through. On July 23, we’ll visit Gasworks, a place that has evolved through centuries of human use, industrial pollution, and natural reclamation.

Please bring something to drink and dress for the weather. The walking route will be about 1 mile long with one optional hill, ending with a picnic chat!

Free to attend. Contributions welcomed.

Well meet at the park entrance near North Northlake Way and Meridian Avenue North, on the grassy area behind the park entry sign, above large rocks (see photo). Look for the folks with a Gathering Ground banner!

There is a large parking lot and free street parking. And the park is popular, so leave plenty of time to park, consider carpooling, biking, or maybe the bus! (The #32 passes within a 5 minute walk).

If you get lost that day, feel free to call us at 206-880-3641.
