Summer Solstice Labyrinth Walks (in person)

  • Saint Mark’s Cathedral 1245 10th Avenue East Seattle, WA, 98102 United States (map)

Join a playful outdoor event celebrating the longest day of the year with this ancient practice to reflect and center. It’s our fourth annual Summer Solstice Labyrinth Walk! This family friendly event features multiple labyrinths, along with stations for chalk art and crafting your own finger labyrinth to take home. New this year, the evening culminates in the chance to join a simple circle dance at 8:40pm. RSVP below or walk up that night.

Labyrinths are a simple reflection form that allows the walker to journey inward to their truth, then outward into the world. They offer a single route in and out: no getting lost. In this time of complexity and frustration, they are a powerful tool to process challenges and find intention, clarity, and even joy.

The event will be open-house style: drop in when it works for you.

Access and COVID notes: A walker-friendly labyrinth will be offered. All six labyrinths are available without steps. Four are on pavement. Masks are optional for this outdoor event. To accommodate those with vulnerabilities, we will offer the option for others on your labyrinth to be masked. Please contact us about other accommodations.

Contributions are warmly welcomed to meet our program expenses, which are about $20/person. Everyone is welcome to join in at whatever level is right for you: we all make this happen together! Gifts for this event will be shared with Saint Mark’s Cathedral.

Parking and Transportation: There is limited, paid parking at Saint Mark’s. It’s also on the #49 bus line. Please note there are NO restrooms: plan accordingly!

Our circle dance leader will be Liziah Richards. Liziah’s passion is to move with people physically and emotionally to cultivate compassion, ease, authentic communication, heart connection and inspiration to live with more joy, love, and well-being. Liziah teaches Yoga, Yoga Dance and has a private practice in Mental Health. In all her work — including our circle dance — Liziah nourishes healthy relationships with our whole human experience.
