We'll be playfully and reflectively learning from stones and connecting with the earth element.
Earth is rich and nurturing when it has a harmonious balance with the other elements. It has stability and equanimity. Out of balance, the earth element is unmoving, stubborn, unable to be flexible or see outside of the box. We can see the gifts and challenges of the earth element in things like traditions and institutions and in our personal and communal habit patterns.
We might also have a chance to hear a bit about rock tumbling and local rock hounding from one of our rock enthusiast members.
We’ll be sharing a light snack potluck. If you’d like, bring finger food to share.
If you are joining the gathering by Zoom, sign on with 1-3 stones (of any kind) that feel right. In person, you can bring your own stones (or bring stones to share), and we will also have plenty of stones.
Email gatheringround.seattle@gmail.comfor any questions, and to receive the Zoom link and/or address.
In 2025, we are gathering around a theme of rooting. Rooting is strengthening our connections with what nourishes us. It is connecting with deep wisdoms and sources, traditions and lineages. It is grounding and drawing strength from the earth and elements. It is exploring beneath the surface of ourselves and our world. We tend to our roots so that we’re able to take in the nourishment we need to grow, so we can grow fruit to nourish the world around us.
Accessibility: This will be a hybrid in-person and on Zoom gathering. In person: Home is non-smoking with no animals. There are 14 steps to get to the door.
