Artful Equinox: Crafting Our Way to Center

  • ZOOM: an online meeting space (map)

Lost in the whirl? Feeling pulled in too many directions by all the turning points and cycles of our world?  In honor of Fall Equinox let’s explore a gentle, playful way to get centered in the turning. Join this creative workshop for all art levels, on ZOOM. You’ll craft your own Spinner - a cross between a fidget, a toy, and meditation tool - that’s tailored to YOU with a personal centering phrase and artful imagery.  Best of all, you can make it out of simple items around your home, and use it whenever you’d like to find the calm eye at the center of the storm.

Julia Field, a skilled leader of visual arts workshops and SoulCollage® facilitator, and Molly Ebert, Gathering Ground’s Curator of Crafting will lead us. There will be time for reflection and creating, as well as chances to share and listen to other participants, at a level you feel comfortable with. Please bring:

  • crayons, paints, or makers

  • glue or tape

  • corrugated cardboard you can cut into a circle with a diameter of 5-8”

  • blank paper

  • yarn or soft cotton string 20-30” long (a stiff string that doesn’t stretch won’t work)

  • And your curiosity!

Your secure ZOOM link will be sent after you RSVP.
