Crafting: Create a Talisman to Honor Transition

Design an amulet/ talisman that represents the future you want to live into: More mindfulness? More justice? More self-care? More joy? Together we’ll find the symbols and colors that speak to that change for you. Then we’ll craft them from simple materials found around your home. Where might you place it to remind you as you move through the thresholds in your life? On this Mothers’ Day weekend, we especially invite moms & kids (of all sorts) to celebrate by crafting and reflecting together- and to honor our Mother Earth.

Please log on with fun crafting materials you have around your home: stones, paper, fabric, beads or cords or string, wire, foil, paints or markers.

Denise Henrikson will lead this gathering. Denise loves to cultivate community through crafting. She’s been active in many grassroots organizations that celebrate art and culture and is a founding member of Love Wins Love- an artist collective that brings unhoused and housed folks together to form relationships by making art. Denise has led creative projects regionally and internationally and currently serves as the community director of EcoThrive Housing, a group that evolved from Love Wins Love and is committed to creating vibrant, affordable, regenerative communities- where people are connected with nature and each other.
